To Sharon and Nicholas

Question
Ms Jumiah, what does it mean by "able to read how your ideas are transformed from a list of ideas to the ones that you have actually chose to work on and see how your playground transformed itself"? I am not very sure about it. But we tried posting some ideas. Please go look at our blog at this section to see if what we have done is right. THANKS :D

Answer

All this means is I must understand why you have chosen your final entries. This must be from a list of ideas that you have discussed with your group. For eg, if you have the bicycle generator idea (I assume you are an alphabit-clone although you did not link your blog in the query), it must have come from a discussion that you had as a group. How did you finally decide that for your traget group? How did THIS idea progress finally?
I am sorry I am no longer giving advice on how to improve the entries on this final day. You just have to make your own group decisions.
Nicholas
I need to see ALL your entries for the whole of the Playground project to give the grade. What happened to your archives? Label entries properly with Final Submission. I can't find these entries. Pls check your blog again.
PS: 2E8, pls call Nicholas to tell him this. If he needs to do some repairwork, pls tell him to write here.

Notice to 2E8 Sharon and Nazihah and 2E7 Khalishah

Sharon and Nazihah

Both of your groups have missed the 2 compulsory sections in the project. Pls see my entry below and make amends in the blogs.

Compulsory to include for passing grade

Refer to the 1st handout I had given you Appendix 2 : I need this to be included either in the Project File or in the blog under Final submission: Blog
PROJECT TASK: SA1 (100%) – Final Version
In this handout we had stipulated that in order to pass the SA1 project you need to include 2 things:
2a. Reflection Section:

You should incorporate ideas which have been inspired from your reading of Bridge to Terabithia, (E.g. Qualities of the secret ‘kingdom’ that Jess and Leslie were rulers of, how Jess built his confidence in this playland etc).

Explain how your reading of the novel has inspired the design of the playground in 100 words.

2b. Write a 100-word explanation as to why you had chosen the specific recycled materials for your model.
If any of you have a problems, pls explain it in the comments section and pls link back to your own blog so I can just go there to answer if your questions are just specific to your own project.

Clarification for Rubrics

The following are questions from a blogger :) but I think all of you can benefit from the information.

1. How do i display teamwork onto the blog?

You cannot display teamwork in a blog as such BUT I should be able to see that each member of your team has posted something according to the role assigned. For example if the role is Researcher, then I should be able to read a) details of research b) 5 to 6 impt points that are significant to the design of the playround c) Final submission of these points linked to the model.
If the role is Secretary, then I should be able to read about how your ideas are transformed from a list of ideas to the ones that you actually choose to work on and see how your playground transforms itself - in point form preferably.
2. What is the visuals/sketches you mean?
These are the preliminary sketches before your final blueprint. There should be several in the blog, dated by the day that you decided on the sketches. Then I see the development of your ideas and your model. You can also have videos if you had videotaped your discussions or mind maps / diagrams that you used to plan your work.
3. Organisation and planning. What do you mean exactly?
This simply means that you have labelled all your entries appropriately and clearly. I must be able to see your discussion from Pt A to Pt b or your pictures of your model from the recycled material to the final model - top view and side view or different views according to the elements (swings, tree-house etc)
4. Other considerations.
You might like to tell me how much you have spent on your model. One group that I had seen had spent $0.00. They had not even bought the glue etc to put their model together while another group had spent $2.65 on glue.
You also have to give me the parallel between the novel and your playground. I think most groups did not tell me this in the rehearsal. You need to do this in the blog at least.
5.Btw, can you view our submissions and tell us what has to be needed to improve.
Dear blogger, you need to give me the address or hyperlink it to your request as I do not want to have to open every blog just to find your blog.

Graduating classes for EL 1127 Papers 1 and 2

Yes, there are many ways to ask questions about English Language

You are here to ask questions about paper 1127/01 and 1127/02.

1. Please identify yourself and your class.

2. Then ask the question briefly. If you are referring to a question in the TYS, tell me the year and question.

3. Always give me the answer that YOU think is possible or most appropriate and then indicate why you have a concern.

All questions need to be posted before 8 pm. I will answer each one here. I am not a personal tutor so do not ask me to answer the questions anywhere else. NO MORE QUESTIONS AFTER 9 PM on 22/4.

Good Luck.

NOTE WELL

This is a Lit blog for my Sec 2 Lit classes. You will not enter anything in any blog that is linked to this blog.

Make sure to go to the Lit LMS by Ms Linda Yew as this document will help you to complete your proposal. Individual work should be included in the Project File while final decisions and reasons for them will be in the blog.

Miniature Playground Expectations

This is a miniature lab from CSI Miniature Killer series. It is here so you can see how your playground must look like in miniature. This is very detailed. The more life-like your playground, the better it would be as the examiner can see it. But if you are not able to create a realistic miniature like this one, I still expect you to do your best. You can paste pictures or draw the different parts and paste it next to your model. You might like to draw out the small details and just paste it near to your model so I can see the drawn detail.
For eg, if your hand railing is textured but you are only able to put toothpicks together, you might like to hand draw your railings in detail and paste it next to the railing in your model.
Good Luck

DO NOT spam anyone or mess with anyone's blogs!

Ok. Like the sign says YOU NEED TO HAVE THE RIGHT ATTITUDE when you come here. I have put all the links on my page as it would make my job easier when I have to read your blogs or answer your questions. Since all the links are in one place, I assume you can go to links from other classes but I want you to respect everyone's blogs and NOT STEAL anything from anyone - ideas, thoughts, pictures and answers. Always give credit when it is due.

I am putting a check on the comments functions so I would be notified when someone posts a comment for help or advice. This is an additional step but I think its a necessary one. I hope all of you are doing well for your Playground Project.

I have been to most blogs but only 2 groups have uploaded pictures on their site and asked me for a comment. Please tell me in THIS BLOG if you want me to go to your site and make comments like Melvin has done. It would be helpful to me and I would not get surprised when I make a check and see that you have asked me to comment but I was not aware of it.
